My name is Skyler Gambert and I maintain this website as a preservation effort of my musical work. I currently play and write for The Wirms, Tuth, Sweet Darlin’, and Sweet Cream Ladies.
In the past, I have played with the group, Off Peak Arson. I have written about music for 50thirdand3rd.com and Shindigmusic.net. In 2014, I published a research paper through the Rhodes Institute for Regional Studies detailing the history of WLYX, the original freeform radio station in Memphis, TN. In 2012, I was a presenter at California University of Pennsylvania’s 7th Annual Hip-hop Conference and the National Council of Black Studies.
Professionally, I work in libraries and archives where I have developed programs such as the Hip Hop Gen X: Class Reunion in 2024 and the Hip Hop Innovator in Residence in 2026.
